Smart: Replace Hose & Swivel
Learn how to replace the hose and swivel on your Smart pressure washer with this step-by-step guide. All you need are Torx 25 (T 25: 11-128-102) , one flathead screwdriver or similar tools. Safety first! To prevent any accidents, ensure that your pressure washer is turned off and unplugged from its power source.
1. Overview of parts
Part numbers:
a)Smart Reel Frame: 95-100-519 /
b)Smart Hose Guide (95-100-524)
c) Swivel for hose reel (long) (95-100-477 Kit:95-100-727)
d)O-ring (8.5*2mm NBR 90) (95-100-161 Kit:95-100-727)
e)Smart reel holder insert (left): (95-100-522)
f)U-pin for hose connector (95-100-296)
g)Reel wheel (95-100-291)
h) Reel wheel hose cover-new (95-100-523)
i)Square head quick connector (95-100-521)
j) E-Clip: 95-100-485/Kit (95-100-727)
k) Smart reel holder insert (right) (95-100-520)
l) Reel crank kit 1 (95-100-403)
2. Unwind the hose to access hose connection
Pull the hose completely until all the hose is out of the reel, allowing you to see the swivel c).
3. Access the Reel screws
Rotate the reel both left and right to access the screws located underneath the reel.
4. Remove Reel wheel hose cover a)
Use Torx 25 to unscrew 4 screws.
If you wish to replace the old hose cover and Reel wheel b), please use the following part numbers:
- New Reel Hose Cover (95-100-523)
- New Reel Wheel (95-100-291
5. Disconnect hose on new machine
a)Push in the Quick connector spring.
b)Pull out the hose while pressing in the Quick connector spring.
6. Remove screws
Use Torx 25 to unscrew 6 screws.
7. Pull the Reel assembly out of Ree Frame
Gently pull down and outwards.
8. Disconnect internal hose
a)Use a flat screwdriver or similar to tilt out the U-pin.
b)Pull out the hose end.
9. Disconnect the Square head quick connector (95-100-521)
a)Use a flat screwdriver or similar to gently remove the E-clip or C-clip.
b)Use a flat screwdriver or similar tool, gently tilt /pull out the Square head Quick connector. If the quick connector is stuck, use a screwdriver or something similar tool, tap on the swivel end sticking through the quick connector c). Tap until the swivel loosens and goes into the Square Head Quick connector.
10. Pull out the Swivel
11. Assemble swivel & internal hose
a)Put swivel into Reel.
b)Put the Square head Quick connector over the swivel. Use lubrication (White acid-free Vaseline or similar) on the O-rings.
c)Install the E-clip.
d)Connect the internal hose to the swivel .
e)secure the hose with the U-clip.
12. Install Reel & Hose guide into Reel Frame
13. Secure Reel and Hose Guide + connect hose
a)Use Torx 25 to secure the reel and hose guide with total 6 screws.
b)Push the hose end into the Quick connector until its clicks in place.
14. Secure hose to Reel
Use Torx 25 fasten the cover to the reel with 4 screws.
