Evolution: Replace Cord Reel
Safety first! To prevent any accidents, ensure that your pressure washer is turned off and unplugged from its power source
With this step-by-step guide, learn how to easily replace the Cord Reel (Kit: 95-100-640) on your Evolution pressure washer. All you need are Torx 25, one flathead screwdriver, and one plier or similar tools.
1. Disconnect internal hose
a) Use a flathead screwdriver or similar, to tilt out the U-pin.
b) Pull the internal house out of the reel
2. Stabilize the machine
Place the machine with the front facing down on a stable surface.
3. Release hose reel system
Use torx T25 to remove three screws
4. Remove hose reel system
Lift away the entire hose reel.
5. Pull out the cord
Pull all cords out of the cord reel.
6. Remove screws from back cover
Use Torx T25 to unscrew 10 screws
7. Lift up and turn the Back Cover
Lift and flip over the back cover.
! Be mindful of the power cable attached between the back cover and the motor.
8. Remove the Cord Reel
Use the pliers and the screwdriver (or similar tools) to deactivate the three locking hooks that are engaged on the inside of the back cover. Press in the three hooks and push the Cord Reel out of the hole.
9. Reassembly
a) Press the cable reel through the hole until the three hooks are engaged on the inside of the back cover
b) Assemble the back cover onto the front cover. Remember to place the black rubber sleeve on the cable into its belonging slot.
c) Use Torx T25 to re-screw 10 screws.
d) Place the reel system into its belonging slot.
e) Use Torx T25 to re-screw 3 screws.
f) Install internal hose into Reels quick connector
